Dr Agustina Martire spoke in the predetermination hearing of the ‘Tribeca’ development of the Cathedral Quarter on behalf of the SaveCQ campaign. 451 letters of objection were sent by 5pm on Monday 16th December, aligned with the concerns of the campaign. Dr Martire spoke along objectors from the UAH and St Anne’s Cathedral to question the proposal on issues of lack of affordable and social housing, large scale demolition, lack of space for arts and culture, excessive height of the overall scheme, loss of public space and lack of transparency in the consultation process.

The final hearing of the planning committee to make a decision on the scheme is 21 January and the campaign hope to encourage as much participation as possible in the process.
