Sam Barrett BEng, MSc, LCGI

Where are they now?

Sam began his career as an undergraduate structural design engineer, serving the UK and Irish structural steel market with Severfield NI Ltd. He studied for the Construction and Project Management MSc in Queen’s from 2012 – 2013, graduating with a distinction.

He later joined Walters Inc. as a Project Coordinator and very quickly moved into a Project Manager position. In his current role, as Director, Preconstruction, Sam leads group pursuits on projects across North America, big and small. He is an excellent collaborator and communicator who is focused on building long standing relationships with team members, customers and suppliers.

After Project Managing a 71 story Hi-rise, he transitioned into the team that secured one of North America’s largest commercial projects, Two Manhattan West – a 902 ft tall hi-rise with over 52,000 tons of structural steel.  Most recently his team secured Google’s new office in NYC – 550 Washington. a 7,000ton redevelopment project with a new office addition atop the existing structure.
