Climate Change Action: Dr Jane McCullough

Where are they now?

Jane is focused on the need for urgent climate change action across society. Her main role is manager of Climate Northern Ireland and she is also active in architectural practice at McCullough Totten Architect’s Studio. At Climate NI, she works to bring people together from private, government, academic and ‘community and voluntary’ sectors to better understand the climate change challenges facing Northern Ireland, and to encourage urgent and coordinated action. In architectural practice, Jane has a particular interest in embedding climate action in housing design. Prior to her time at Climate NI, she completed a PhD at Queen’s University Belfast. During this research, she worked with design teams and social housing providers to explore the Energy Building Performance Gap, by investigating the influence of architectural design decisions on occupant energy behaviours.
